          Aluminum foil for Cigarette Packaging

          Aluminum foil is widely used in packaging. It can be used to package items alone; more often, it is made of composite materials with paper and plastic films, and is used for packaging of food, cigarettes, cosmetics, medicines, chemicals, etc.

          The use of aluminum in the tobacco packaging industry is mainly the cigarette inner packaging foil, the aluminum layer on the cigarette box and the hot stamping of the tipping paper. First of all, the largest amount of aluminum foil cigarette is for the cigarette inner packaging.

          Aluminum foil lining paper is a composite paper of thin paper and aluminum foil. The thickness of aluminum foil is 0.006mm to 0.007mm. Generally, aluminum foil with a thickness of 0.006mm is used. The temper is O, which has good extensibility.

          The cigarette inner packaging foil can better prevent moisture, mildew, dryness and keep taste. The compounding of tobacco foil adopts the wet lamination process, which has better production efficiency, economy and environmental protection than dry lamination and hot-melt lamination.

          It uses a water-soluble or water-dispersible adhesive to bond the aluminum foil to the porous, highly hygroscopic backing paper, which avoids a series of problems caused by the use of alum solvents in dry lamination, such as polluting the environment.

          The tobacco aluminum foil often chooses 1235, 1145 and 8079 aluminum foil. They are are used for cigarette packaging after paper lining, printing or painting. China is the world's largest producer and consumer of cigarettes. The annual consumption of cigarette foil for cigarette packaging reaches 35,000 tons, accounting for 60% of the total consumption of light gauge foil.

          In the heat treatment process of tobacco aluminum foil, the annealing process is a relatively critical process, and its effect is directly related to the product quality of aluminum foil. The purpose of annealing the finished aluminum foil is to remove oil and soften it.

          For industrially pure aluminum foil, the softening annealing temperature is about 300°C, and the degreasing annealing temperature is 180-200°C; for high-purity aluminum foil, these two temperatures should be appropriately lowered. The annealing temperature should also be adjusted appropriately according to the thickness and season.
