Different Types of Electronic Aluminum Foils

           SHARE

Electronic aluminum foil is made by hot rolling, cold rolling, annealing and slitting aluminum ingots. Electronic aluminum foil is mainly divided into high-voltage anode foil, low-voltage anode foil, negative electrode foil, etc.

There are many aluminum alloys for manufacturing negative electrode aluminum foil like 1070 aluminum foil roll. Aluminum alloys used in industrial production can be mainly classified into four categories: aluminum-copper series, aluminum-manganese series, pure aluminum series and multi-element mixed series.

Different types of anode aluminum foil have different performance characteristics, and the corrosion processes they adapt to vary widely. The main quality index requirements of the electrode foil prepared by corrosion of the negative electrode aluminum foil are: high capacitance, tensile strength, number of bends and low surface chloride ion content, etc.

          Al-Cu alloy

The electric aluminium foil made of aluminum-copper negative element aluminum foil have the characteristics of high capacitance, bright surface, less dust, and medium strength. They are especially suitable for varieties requiring high capacitance. Electrode foils are usually made from hard foils through chemical etching.

Part of the copper in the aluminum-copper alloy is solid dissolved in the aluminum matrix, and part of it is precipitated in the form of intermetallic compound CuAl2. The electrode potential of copper is higher than that of aluminum. Solid solution copper and CuAl2 become the core of corrosion. The copper content is generally selected within the range of 0.1% to 0.5%.

          Al-Mn alloy

The electrode foil made of aluminum-manganese negative element aluminum foil has the characteristics of medium capacitance, dark surface and easy powdering, and high strength. It is especially suitable for varieties that require higher strength and thinner specifications.
Aluminum-manganese alloys are non-heat treatable strengthened alloys. Manganese has a certain strengthening effect. As the manganese content increases, the strength of the alloy increases. The solubility of manganese in aluminum is small, and it is mainly distributed in the aluminum matrix in the form of MnAln to form a corrosion core. Manganese content is generally controlled between 0.8% and 1.3%.

          Pure aluminum foil

The electronic aluminum foil made of pure aluminum negative electrode aluminum foil has the characteristics of medium capacitance, uniform surface and less dust, low strength, good flexibility, and good anti-attenuation stability. It is especially suitable for varieties that require higher stability.

The corrosion mechanism of pure aluminum foil is different from that of aluminum-copper foil and aluminum-manganese foil. Since there is no deliberately added copper, manganese, etc. in pure aluminum foil to form the corrosion core of intermetallic compounds, therefore, the corrosion mechanism of pure aluminum foil is different. The main corrosion core is the intergranular defects generated during the cold working process - dislocation outcrops formed by dislocations on the surface of the aluminum foil. The aluminum purity of this type of foil is generally between 99.7% and 99.95%.

          Multi-element combination foil

In addition to the above-mentioned aluminum foil series with distinctive characteristics, some literature also reported many multi-element combination negative electrode aluminum foils modified on this basis. Welcome to leave message below to inquire the electric foil cost.
