The surface of the aluminum foil coated with a hydrophilic coating has a strong affinity for water, and the condensed water diffuses quickly on the fins, and it is not easy to form a "water bridge", so the ventilation effect is good when the air conditioner is running. The index to measure hydrophilicity is called hydrophilic angle.

There is no hard rule on the thickness of the coating film on the surface of the aluminum foil, and it is generally 1.0-20um. Because the price of coatings is generally more expensive, the thinner the coating film thickness is controlled under the premise of meeting the performance requirements, the lower the production cost. The thickness of the coating directly affects the various performance indicators of the coating, so the coating thickness on the surface of the aluminum foil is required to be uniform.

In terms of ventilation and ventilation, the flexible aluminum foil duct has better ventilation performance and can effectively transmit air and keep indoor air fresh and circulated. In some special occasions, such as places with high fire protection requirements, aluminum foil hoses have obvious advantages in fire protection performance.

In China, aluminum foil is used as insulation material outside air-conditioning ducts. In developed countries and regions, composite materials of aluminum foil, plastic and woven fiber are also used as insulation layers on building roofs. The used aluminum alloys include 1100, 3003 and 8011. 3003 air duct aluminum foil tape is a representative product of the 3 series aluminum-manganese alloy, also called anti-rust aluminum coil. It is mainly used in pipes, building roofs and walls as insulation materials, etc. Generally, 3003 aluminum coils with a thickness of 0.4-1.0mm are used for thermal insulation.

1100 aluminum foil is 1 series industrial pure aluminum, which contains more than 99.0% aluminum. It has strong conductivity, good formability, corrosion resistance, low strength, and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment.
