What Are Uses of Industrial and Commercial Aluminum Foil

According to the processing status of aluminum foil, aluminum foil jumbo roll can be divided into hard foil, semi-hard foil, soft foil, 1/4 hard foil and 3/4 hard foil. Rigid foil and semi-rigid foil can be directly used for molding processing.

The hard foil can be used in printing, lamination, coating and other fields after degreasing, while the soft foil can be used in packaging, electrical materials, composite materials, etc. The hardness of 1/4 hard foil and 3/4 hard foil is between soft foil and semi-hard foil, and between full hard foil and semi-hard foil respectively. They are mainly used in air conditioners and aluminum-plastic pipes.

Air conditioner aluminum foil is one the industrial aluminum foil rolls. Its thickness is generally 0.1-0.15mm. Depending on the production process and performance, air conditioning foil is divided into hydrophilic foil and plain foil, accounting for 80% and 20% of the total air conditioning foil respectively.

The surface of the former has anti-corrosion and organic hydrophilic coating, which has good anti-corrosion and hydrophilic properties. It also has the characteristics of anti-fungal, stamping resistance, solvent resistance and heat resistance. The heat exchange rate is 10~15% higher than that of ordinary aluminum foil.

Aluminum foil is used to replace copper foil in automobile heat exchangers. It is one of the ways to achieve lightweight automobiles. By replacing it, 40% of the weight of automobile radiators can be reduced. At present, the aluminum foil content of composite brazed aluminum foil heat exchangers in American automobiles as reached 95%.

In the electronics industry, aluminum foil is mainly used to produce electrolytic capacitors. According to different process requirements, it is divided into electrode foil and electronic aluminum foil. Electrode foil is a downstream deep-processing product of electronic aluminum foil.

The technical content of aluminum foil packaging is relatively low. It is mainly used in cigarettes, food, medicine, cosmetic bags, camera bags, machinery and other industries. Aluminum foil for food packaging is a main kind of the commercial aluminum foil rolls.
